Thanks to the great teamwork of all the project team, Energization of JHIMPIR 99 MW wind power project was successfully completed at 19:12, May 3rd, 2017, marking the completion of the project and achievement of one more important condition for connection to the state grid. This is another engineering milestone following 66 wind turbines hoisted into place on March 13th, 2017.
The project management team has worked out a meticulous work plan for the organization of all engineering activities. A number of technical meetings were held, and the PM team worked together with local power company, engineering design, construction contractors and equipment suppliers; careful planning was focused on activities from preparations and checks, to safety measures, energization steps and quality supervision. For relationship management purpose, the PM team kept constant liaison and coordination with the local authorities. Commercial meetings were held with these authorities to deal with all adverse conditions and allocate resources to the right place; all these efforts have provided a guarantee for the successful implementation of the project.
The energization was officially started at 16:53. The entire process went smoothly as No. 1 main transformer was firstly reached at 18:46, and then the test ended perfectly. Next task will be the dynamic commissioning of wind turbines as per Clause 8.3.b of the EPA contract, the final effort for the upcoming reliability test run and successful connection to the grid. (Note: energization is a big engineering milestone in the construction of a wind power project, indicating the project goes from civil work and installation to the commissioning phase.
